“Who Stole My Hammer?” is a lively and engaging storytelling show created by Myth-Fits. It introduces the wacky and wonderful world of Norse Mythology to children (and grown-ups!) through a mixture of narration, audience interaction and playful, physical performance.
After a fun portrayal of the viking’s arrival in Britain, their voyages around the world and their beliefs in different gods, the show then re-tells popular viking legends.
The show’s title comes from a legend about Thor, the god of thunder, losing his trusty weapon (a magical hammer) to a dangerous Ogre. With the help of his friends, Thor participates in an elaborate plan to retrieve it before the hammer can be used for evil.
The audience are encouraged to collectively join in, using actions and speech to help characters along their journey.
This two-hander production inspires children and brings the story to life using colourful, imaginative props and costume to spark young imaginations.
It is a comedic and informative adventure through history, offering an insight into the life, culture and beliefs of ‘the vikings’.
